Ofsted

Ofsted Update  - We continue to be a 'Good' school!

We are delighted to be able to share the report from our most recent Ofsted inspection which took place in March 2024. You will see on Page three that this was a ‘Section 8’ inspection, more commonly known now as an ‘ungraded’ inspection. This means that it would not be possible for our overall Ofsted grading to be changed, either raised or lowered. This could only happen if a repeat, full inspection was to take place in a further twelve to eighteen months. You may notice that this Section 8 inspection report is less detailed than a Section 5 report. However, this was still a thorough, rigorous inspection process and the inspector gathered a great deal of information across the two days of her visit.

Ofsted inspection frameworks change on a regular basis and the expectations of schools have been raised significantly since our previous inspection in May 2018. We are therefore very pleased that the inspector recognised the many strengths of our school and, despite the ‘raised bar’, judged that we continue to be a ‘Good’ school. More important than a single word grading are the comments the report contains about our children and their engagement in learning, their personal development and behaviour and attitudes.

We believe that the opening paragraph of the report perfectly summarises our school ethos:

‘The school motto of ‘working together, valuing everyone, learning for life’ is lived out by the whole community at All Saints. There are warm, respectful relationships between pupils and staff. Pupils thrive in this caring environment. They are happy to come to school because they feel safe and valued.’
