We are an 'EXCELLENT' Church of England School

All Saints' is a Church of England School - it seeks to be distinctively Christian yet inclusive of people of all faiths and none. 

We are delighted to be able to share the outcome of our recent SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspection, held on 9th March 2023. The inspector met with parents, children across school, governors and a range of school leaders. He looked at lots of information on our website and policies and documents in school and especially enjoyed looking at RE books with the children. Although it is a Church school inspection, it looks at the overall provision in school – the curriculum, our work on personal development of children, support and inclusion for all and many other aspects of learning in our school. Pulling all of that information together, he awarded us the following outcomes:

Overall grade – Excellent

The impact of collective worship – Excellent

 It is worth highlighting that this grade is extremely rare, so we are beyond delighted that the inspector was able to see what is so special about our school. We hope that you will take time to read the report as it celebrates so much of what we as a whole school community – parents, children and staff – aspire to for all.

SIAMS Celebration
On Monday 10th July,  we held a celebration in school which was attended by Bishop John, the Bishop of Warwick, accompanied by Jen Jenkins from the DBE. The visit was to celebrate our 'Excellent' SIAMS judgement but was also Bishop John's final school visit before retiring. We had a lovely assembly sharing children's work for the Spirited Arts competition, then everyone enjoyed some cake! 
 
 
 All Church schools receive ‘Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools’ (SIAMS) inspections, approximately every 5 years. SIAMS inspection focuses on the impact of the Church school's Christian vision on pupils and adults. This involves looking at the school’s Christian vision, the provision the school makes because of this vision and how effective this provision is in enabling all pupils to flourish. Church schools use a variety of strategies and styles appropriate to, and reflective of, their particular context in order to be distinctively and effectively Christian in their character and ethos. SIAMS inspectors therefore do not look for a set template of what a Church school should be like, but rather take the particular context of the school into account and base their evaluation on the outcomes rather than the process.

The Evaluation Schedule has one inspection question: “How effective is the school’s distinctive Christian vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels, in enabling pupils and adults to flourish?”

This is explored through seven strands:

  1. Vision and Leadership
  2. Wisdom, Knowledge, and Skills
  3. Character Development: Hope, Aspiration, and Courageous Advocacy
  4. Community and Living Well Together
  5. Dignity and Respect
  6. Impact of Collective Worship
  7. Effectiveness of Religious Education.

One overall grade is awarded reflecting the contribution of these strands to the flourishing of pupils and adults in a Church school. In addition, a standalone grade is awarded in all schools for collective worship.

We work hard to meet the needs of our community, ensuring that our ethos (not only our approach to collective worship) is 'Inclusive, Invitational and Inspiring'. We have a SIAMS governors committee, led by Rev Diane and including other foundation governors, who meet every term. It is their role to understand and monitor our Christian Distinctiveness, feeding back at every Full Governing Body meeting. The collaborative working between these governors and school ensures that our Christian distinctiveness is continually evolving. 
 
All Saints' was previously inspected in February 2016 under a completely different inspection framework. At that stage, we were awarded with the status of Outstanding Church of England School and you can see the full inspection report below.
