We are delighted to provide opportunities for our children to participate in a wide range of sporting activities through ‘School Games’ and wholeheartedly support their mission:

The different events and competitions offered in our area are classified as follows:
These activities are non-competitive and target pupils who would benefit from being more physically active.
These events are for pupils who enjoy friendly competition but don’t want to solely focus on winning and losing
These competitions are for pupils who enjoy performing and competing against others.
Competition4U events are targeted for specific groups of children.
Sportshall Athletics
On Wednesday 12th February a selection of girls and boys from year 5 and 6 competed in a school games athletics competition. This was a ‘compete’ event so children were all very competitive. The children gave it their all and we won 3rd place in the small schools category out of 21 schools. The children all did a super job and represented All Saints’ amazingly. GO ALL SAINTS’!
Speed-Stacking Compete Event
Our Y3 team performed so well at the event in November that they, along with children from 2 other schools, were invited to represent Central Warwickshire at the County finals! Research has shown that speed-stacking benefits cognitive development and targets specific areas of the body and brain to improve problem-solving skills, critical thinking, eye-tracking and peripheral vision. And it’s also lots of fun! As it was the County final, it was a Compete Event - these competitions are for pupils who enjoy performing and competing against others.
Speed-stacking – Develop Event
On 26th November, 12 of our Y3 children travelled to Campion School to participate in a Speed Stacking competition. The children had practised at home and in school beforehand and had so much fun taking part. Develop events are for children who enjoy friendly competition but don’t want to solely focus on winning and losing, but our team were delighted to win a place in the County Games final event in January. Well done to all of them, they were so enthusiastic and engaged!
Dodgeball – Develop Event
Some of our Y5 children participated in a Dodgeball – Develop Event at Newbold Leisure Centre on 11th November. Develop events are for children who enjoy friendly competition but don’t want to solely focus on winning and losing.
Rowing - Compete Event
On 6th November, Campion school hosted a Rowing – Compete event. ‘Compete’ competitions are for children who enjoy performing and competing against others. Eight of our Y6 children – a team of 4 girls and a team of 4 boys – had a great time competing. The changeover from one child to the next on the rowing machine is tricky and needed good communication and teamworking. Well done to all!
Competition4U Rowing – Engage Event
On 5th November, some of our Y6 children took part in a Rowing Competition4U -Engage event at Campion school. Engage events are non-competitive but lots of fun and our children had a great time taking part.
Y5 hockey workshop and tournament
On 4th October, 8 of our Y5 children participated in a hockey workshop and tournament at Warwick Prep School in Warwick. The day began with a series of hockey workshops, led by Warwick School hockey specialists. This was followed by a mini tournament where the children had the opportunity to put the skills they'd learnt into action against other schools. The emphasis of the morning was on fun and participation and it was fantastic to see so many children playing hockey together. As always, Warwick school were great hosts and our children represented our school really well, supporting each other and working as a team.
Dodgeball ‘Spirit of the Games’ competition
On Tuesday 7th November, 8 children from year 5 took part in a Dodgeball ‘Spirit of the Games’ competition however, this competition was a little different to normal tournaments. This event was not about winning. The children had to judge each team they played against three school games values: Honesty, Respect and Teamwork, and give them 1, 3 or 5 marks depending how well they demonstrated these skills. All the children really enjoyed the morning and made the school proud by showing so many of these values. They came 3rd in the morning heat! Well done J
On Wednesday 25th October, 8 Year 6 children represented the school in a competitive Rowing competition at Campion school. They had to compete in individual events as well as a team relay which requires lots of communication, co-ordination and team work. They all had a wonderful time and represented All Saints’ brilliantly. Well done!
Rowing 4 U
On Tuesday 24th October, 4 Year 6 children represented the school in a Rowing competition at Campion school. They also had the opportunity to try some other sports such as: Boccia, Kurling and Bowls.
