Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel 11th-22nd March 2024
Spring is on the way which means more opportunities to get outside in the fresh air and travel to/from school by bike, scooter or foot!
Let's try our best to get active and see how many journeys we can log on the leader board.
We would love to see your healthy selfies of active travelling to and from school. Please send photos into the office (admin2332@welearn365.com) so we can post them on the website and celebrate your healthy journeys!
Whole school assembly coming soon so the children can find out more...
Warwick Rotary Club Annual Pancake Races 2023
A PAN-tastic time was had by many of our Year 2 children at the Warwick annual pancake races, despite the damp drizzly weather.
Emscote entered four teams, eager to show their skills against eight other schools, running the length of the market square whilst flipping their pancakes and cheered on by their parents, teammates and spectators.
So much fun was had by all with the added bonus of all 4 teams gaining super results in the heats; 2x firsts, 1x second and 1x third.
This meant that two teams had to hold their nerve and compete in the KS1 final! Victory for team 4 and smiles all round as Emscote came out as the overall KS1 event winning school!!!!
We are extremely proud of how positive, supportive and sensible the year 2 children were, fun exercise really does make for a healthy happy lifestyle!!!
Emscote Sports Mornings
Everyone at Emscote loves our annual sports mornings held in the summer term up at All Saints School. The event consists of field events to start with, that promote teamwork, good sportsmanship and healthy competition, and then the track events individually raced within each year group and class.
Families and friends are all encouraged to get involved with the final events of Pre-Schoolers, Mums/Grandmas and Dads/Grandads races being very popular and rather extreme! The staff are always very impressed with the positive display of life long healthy activity, even if there are a few fallers before the finish line!

Home PE Learning- A Vallins Challenge!
Let's get active at home during the weekends or after school. Watch the video below and get warmed up ready for action! Try to encourage other family members to join you having fun with exercise. You could have some healthy competition with a class mate, who can do the most reps? Mrs Vallins would love to see action photos for the healthy selfies!
